So far 2017 has been a very good year for Cara Hammond, the 21 year old artist originally from North Wales. Cara has recently released her new single ‘No’ alongside a music video that was filmed in Paris. The single has been added to ‘Closer,’ a global Spotify playlist followed by 250,000 people, listed as No.2 on Apple Music France’s breakthrough Pop playlist and is featured on Deezer’s ‘Women of Soul’ playlist, followed by 51,000 fans. ‘No’ is also receiving a lot of support from the BBC, such as her live performance of it on the Gaby Roslin show, BBC Radio London. She has also recently played the Arena Stage at Love Supreme, her first festival appearance and she has since participated in her third songwriting camp.
Cara has been writing songs since she was 11 years old and performing since she was 14. She has supported artists such as Charlotte Church, as well as performing and gaining airplay on BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Introducing in West Yorkshire, BBC Introducing in Wales, the national BBC Mark Forrest Show and was recently named ‘BBC Introducing Artist of the Week’ on the national BBC Georgey Tonight radio show. She has taken part in 3 international song writing camps with one leading to a license contract with the label GL Music in Denmark.
