The Chester Live team are stupidly excited to have added an incredible free entry, community event on Brook Street, Chester as part of the main Chester Live Festival.

The ‘Chester Live Street Festival’ will take place on Chester’s most ethnically diverse street on Sunday 25th June 2017, with live music from midday through to 9pm. The event will also include stalls from local indepenedant traders and family entretainment along the full length of Brook Street.

The main stage will be headlined by local sunshine pop superstars Campfire Social. Vocalist Carrie Hyndman had this to say about the event ‘Having been a part of Chester Lives previousl we were really excited to be asked back for the festival’s 3rd year! Chester is a place bursting full of amazing musicians & Chester Live is doing a great job of pulling everyone together. This will be a weekend not to be missed!’

Carrie, who is also the owner of independant label ‘Junkbox’ who trade from Becnicks Wonder Emporium on Brook Street, continued to say ‘Becnicks are so excited for Chester Live & everything it’s going to bring to the city! With the launch of the ‘Bandstand’ last year we have got more & more involved with the city’s music scene and an event like this is just what we need!’

Support on the day on the main stage comes from Indio’s Dream, Science Of The Lamps, Tabitha Jade, Brazenswagger, Cynic Notes, Nish Goyal, The Instinctive and Smiling Riley.

Carrie’s aforementioned ‘Bandstand’ (a new project to promote local live music acts) will host the smaller acoustic stage which will be headlined by Chester’s own one man street quartet; CF Boneslum. Support on the ‘Bandstand’ stage comes from Hedge Gods, Alx Green, Isaac Birchall, Peter Douglas, Chris Tavener, Oli Ng, Shem Sharples, Will Riding, Tom Matthias and Dan Pearce.

‘We at St Werburgh’s Parish Centre have been involved with this great event since the start. We are delighted to see this years’s Chester Live is bigger and better than ever. Plus it’s fantastic to see a live music event happening in Brook Street once again. It’s sure to be an amazing day!’
