Establishing themselves as one of the most frantic bands on Chester Live’s line-up, Allusondrugs are set to blow the roof off of the Live Rooms when they perform on Saturday 24th. Their concoction of grunge, searing psychedelic riffs and metal is certainly a drug in itself, and not one to be missed. Allusondrugs have received critical attention from such media giants as Kerrang!, Q and NME, as well as hundreds of thousands of collective Youtube views. Plus, having supported the likes of Enter Shikari, it’s clear that this Yorkshire lot are rocketing upwards in the UK music scene, so catch them while you can. Also, last time they were at the Live Rooms, they managed to get a guitar stuck in the ceiling. ‘nuff said.
In amongst their extensive gigging, we managed to have a brief chat with guitarist Drey Pavlovic to see where they’re at.
Hi Drey, how are you and the rest of the guys doing?
Hey! We’re all very well thank you. Things are pretty gravy right now.
What have you all been up to recently?
Writing new ones, recording new ones, having too much fun in our rehearsal room and playing shows!
Are you excited to be playing at The Live Rooms for Chester Live?
Yes. It’s great venue and the people of Chester are lovely.
Have you played around here before or is this new ground for you?
We’ve played the live rooms before – it was an excellent night. We’ve also played The Compass.
Can we expect any new material soon?
Yes, there are a handful of new songs in the set-list and subsequent single releases will follow ahead of summer!
You guys always seem to be gigging! What is the hardest part?
Not gigging.
What is the best part?
Finding out about wonderful new opportunities that have been presented to us on the back of playing previous gigs.
What sort of energy are you going to be bringing to the Chester gig? Mosh pits or something more chilled?
We’re going to aim for both. We will construct a set that takes you through a vast array of emotions. There’s going to be ups, downs, left turns and black holes.
Finally, what would you like to say to get the crowd hyped?
**WALK OUT ON STAGE**
”HELLO CHESTER! IF ANYONE HERE IS A MASSIVE RACIST, PLEASE REMAIN COMPLETELY SILENT”
—————————————————————————————————————————
There you have it. Racists be warned.
