The team at Music Is Now (www.musicisnow), who are the people behind the hugely successful Chester Live festival within the city of Chester, have just announced a new sister event for 2020.

The team are excited to announce that Deeside Live will take place on the August Bank Holiday weekend 2020, and more importantly that the event will take place at Shotton Point (the old John Summer site on the banks of the River Dee).

Dan Read (Festival Coordinator) said, ‘This is a massive project and we’re delighted that the Enbarr Foundation (https://enbarrfoundation.co.uk/) will be our partners on this event, and that they’ve given us the go ahead to use one of the most historically important sites in Deeside, if not Flintshire.

The event will have a major focus on the local community and the history of the site. We hope it will also be the first time in 40 years that large sections of the John Summers site will be open to the public’.

More information on how you can get involved with the event will be released in the coming days. Watch this space!
